走向街头计划 是一门社作为设计工作室自发的设计研究项目，这些“街头设计”有时候是用废旧物品临时拼凑出来的替代方案，有时候是对现成物品的改造改良，有时候是一物多用的妙用混用，它们无处不在，虽然形式不一，却都用一种街头智慧，在有限的条件下，实惠而快速地解决着眼前的问题，改善自己的生活。 在我们看来，这体现了中国人民的节约节俭的优良品德，物尽其用的生活哲学，因势利导因地制宜的务实和智慧，以及无限的创造力和解决问题的能力。 走向街头计划通过观察、研究社区里个人以及物件的DIY故事， 以及免费开放的社区主题展览和街区参观游览活动，与街坊邻居互动，探讨街头创造背后值得传递的设计思考，用设计来创造更多样的城市观察和邻里沟通。

Walking Towards the Street is a self-initiated design research project by amass design studio. These "street designs" are sometimes temporary alternatives made from used items, sometimes they are modifications of existing items, and sometimes they are multi-purposes, they are everywhere, although in different forms, they all use a street wisdom to solve the immediate problems affordably and quickly under limited conditions, and to improve their lives. In our opinion, this reflects the Chinese people's fine virtue of frugality and thrift, their philosophy of making the best use of things, their pragmatism and wisdom in adapting to local conditions, and their unlimited creativity and problem-solving ability. Through observing and researching the DIY stories of individuals and objects in the community, as well as free community-themed exhibitions and tours of the neighborhood, the Street Project interacts with neighbors and explores the design thinking behind street creations, using design to create more diverse urban observation and neighborhood communication.

** [24CDU357] 裱画店增高椅子 王女士 旧木椅+木条 102*42*42cm 童子街62号 ** Q: 为什么椅子要抬高？ A: 当时我们顺便拿来，有时候这个工作台要放木条条，他高度就不够，然后底下就加高了一点儿。这个工作台拿来做框子的嘛，就相当于是个高脚凳了。 Q: 这是你自己做的吗？ A: 店里面的师傅做的，很多年了。一直他们括（放）到那儿的。 Q: 放在门口会有人拿走吗？ A: 没人会拿，没人要这个。晚上拿进来了的，白天放在外面大家坐一坐，现在的素质都是比较高。 Q: 这个椅子本身是哪里来的呢？ A: 记不到了，好像是他们哪个茶楼不要了嘛，我都记不到了，好多年的事了。 Q: 你们平时用的多吗？ A: 有时候可以坐，有时候可以当工作台用，对不对嘛，几用。平常坐得少，其实它的功能就是有时候拿到外头，有人想坐一下就坐一下。我们自己都几乎坐得少。
